Special Events Guide

The City of Orlando is a world-class event city, and each year hosts or permits more than 1,200 special events such as festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, film productions and more. 

The Office of Special Events (OSE) serves as the central point of contact for all permitted special events in the city. Working in conjunction with city departments, venues and organizations, the office assists with event permitting, public safety, site mapping, road closures, parking and other operational details to ensure event producers have a safe and successful event.

Events on Private Property

If your event impacts city roadways or right-of-ways, or significantly displaces parking, a Special Events Permit is required.

Events on Public Property

An 18A Special Events Permit is required when events involving more than 100 people will take place on city property or is held on other property which impacts adjacent streets, sidewalks, or rights-of-way.
