GreenUp Orlando

The GreenUp Orlando program was created in 1985 to increase the city’s available tree canopy and to improve the appearance of our community. The program is designed to stimulate improvements to public places in neighborhoods through volunteer efforts and contributions.

GreenUp Orlando encourages citizens and groups to plant trees and shrubs, beautify their neighborhoods, raise public awareness and pride in Orlando, “The City Beautiful,” and promote the benefits of volunteer efforts in partnership with the city.

Through GreenUp the Parks Division uses volunteers to:

  • Beautify neighborhoods, schools and other public areas through GreenUp design and plantings
  • Educate school kids on the importance of caring for their facilities through their own volunteer efforts
  • Work with neighbors and volunteer groups to enhance various parks throughout the city
  • Assist in other areas of park operations
