Do you have a permit with a contract price greater than $2,500 and need to schedule an inspection?
You will need to submit a recorded Notice of Commencement to the City of Orlando.
You'll need your permit details to file a Notice of Commencement.

Record your Notice of Commencement with the Orange County Comptroller's Office by submitting it via postal mail or in-person at the Orange County Comptroller's Office. The cost to record a one-page Notice of Commencement is $10. You may also wish to purchase certified copies for $3 each.

Once your Notice of Commencement is recorded with the Orange County Comptroller's Office, submit the recorded notice with the City of Orlando.

Please post the certified copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement at the job site for inspection. You cannot schedule inspections until you submit the Notice of Commencement with our office.
