Rain Barrel Workshops

Workshop attendees posing with their decorated rain barrel

The City of Orlando partners with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida (Coke Florida) to teach residents:

  • How rain harvesting is an inexpensive means of capturing and storing water
  • How it can help to reduce pollution from stormwater runoff
  • How it can help you save money on utility bills in the process

Attending the workshop is free and happens usually two times per year. Residents receive a free rain barrel as a wonderful addition to lawns and gardens for ornamental, landscaping plants, or pollinator gardens.

These barrels are recycled Coca-Cola syrup barrels that are washed and ready to be re-used to gather rain for resident-use. More than 350 rain barrels have been given to residents so far!
