Have you seen pollution in a lake or going down a storm drain?

The City of Orlando handles reports of pollution in lakes and storm drains to maintain water quality. Polluting natural waters can result in fines up to $1,000 per incident per day.

Common Signs of Pollution:

  • Dirty or oily water in the street
  • Grass clippings or leaves in the street
  • Someone dumping debris or fluids into the street

  • Chemicals: paint, degreasers, solvents, antifreeze, automotive products, oil, grease, or gasoline
  • Yard waste: lawn clippings, leaves, branches
  • Household items: soaps (even biodegradable)
  • Hazardous materials: pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers
  • Other: Pet waste, silt, soil
