Apply for the Portuguese Speaking Citizen Police Academy

Step 1.Check your eligibility

The Portuguese Speaking Citizens Police Academy meets for five consecutive Thursdays beginning August 22, 2024. Sessions are held from 6 to 9 p.m. each week at 100 George Desalvia Way. Please be sure you can commit to these times and dates. Additionally, all sessions are conducted in Portuguese only. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Step 2.Gather your information

For the application, you will need to provide some information. Please have these readily available when filling out the application.

• Your contact information.
• Driver's License of ID number.
• Responses to why you want to join the academy.
• Names and addresses for two character references. 

Step 3.Submit your application

We give careful, individual attention to each applicant. We strongly encourage you to answer each question completely and the to best of your ability.
