Apply to be part of the OPD Portuguese Speaking Citizen Police Academy. This is a four-week course, taught in Portuguese, to discuss various police-related topics and have a an up-close look at OPD tools and technology.

The Portuguese Speaking Citizens Police Academy meets for four consecutive Thursdays beginning March 12, 2026. Sessions are held from 6 to 9 p.m. each week at 110 George Desalvia Way. Graduation will be on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the OPD Community Room on 1250 West South Street. Please be sure you can commit to these times and dates.
Additionally, all sessions are conducted in Portuguese only. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
For the application, you will need to provide some information. Please have these readily available when filling out the application.
