Lorena Sosa - Timber Creek High School

Lorena has a heart for the environment and all people who live within it. Lorena is a young activist who is involved in her community trying to make our community a better place to live. Through her work with Voices of Change and This is Zero Hour, Lorena has worked on environmental issues that affect our community, and arranged events to help improve the environment.

Through her leadership in the school’s Helping the Homeless Club, Lorena has coordinated with #lunchbagOrlando to prepare meals for the homeless community well as organizing fundraising events to benefit the homeless. As she moves on to college and beyond, there is no question that Lorena will be involved in making her community a better place to live.

Future Plans: Lorena plans to attend the University of Florida or University of Michigan and pursue a career in law. She hopes to become a Human Rights lawyer one day.
