Geraldine Jean-Joseph - Evans High School
The words - caring and compassionate - describe the embodiment of Geraldine. It is extremely noticeable that she has a heart for service. The desire to serve her school and community is worn on her face and in her actions.
Providing support for her class through positive actions as a student as well as a member of the student government association, Geraldine spurs an atmosphere of positivity that is contagious. Understanding the role she plays in her community, Geraldine utilizes her platform to cause students to think about social issues that are affecting her community. She provokes students to not just be aware of social issues, but to be an agent for the change they want to see.
As an individual who wants to spread awareness and be a catalyst for change in her community, she is responsible and understands the importance of her actions. Geraldine is a young lady that embodies the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Future Plans: Geraldine plans to attend FAMU and will pursue a career in medicine.
