The City of Orlando adds Green Trail Crossings for Pedestrian Safety along Bumby Path
WHAT:
Beginning today, Tuesday, December 15, 2020, green trail crossings will be installed at 10 intersections along the Bumby Path, between Corrine Drive and Colonial Drive.
The city has started installing high emphasis crosswalks at trail crossings as part of increased efforts to improve safety for all users on the city’s transportation network.
The new crossings along the Bumby Path will be installed using Methyl Methacrylate (MMA), which has a high durability and low life-cycle cost. A bright green color is used to alert drivers to watch out for bicyclists and pedestrians at the trail crossing and to remind bicyclists and pedestrians on the trail to be aware of cars as they are crossing the roadway.
Work is expected to be completed on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
WHEN:
Tuesday, December 15 – Thursday, December 17, 2020
