The City of Orlando Expands Outdoor Activities with New Amenities at Lake Druid Park’s Mountain Bike Trail
WHAT:
During the global pandemic, people are looking for more opportunities to spend time outdoors to ensure physical distancing requirements and to get exercise for mental health.
Just in time to help meet those needs, the City of Orlando, in partnership with Southern Off Road Bicycle Association (SOBRA), has completed its expansion of the Mountain Bike Trail with a new North Trail at Lake Druid Park.
This trail was designed to serve all levels of riders, from beginner, intermediate, and advanced and contains new technical features, including a roll up, drops, berms, wall ride, and raised wood. It also serves as an extension to the pump track and bike trail and connects to the paved bike path and urban trail.
This new mountain bike trail is not only a great opportunity to get outdoors and social distance, but also to explore all 19 acres of Lake Druid Park that are fit for all members of the family.
