Orlando Hosts Free Electronic and Household Textile Recycling Event
Last updated on February 20, 2020
WHAT:
On Saturday, a city park that’s usually packed with festival goers will instead be filled with pallets stacked with old televisions, outdated computers and unwanted clothes, shoes and bedding. And it’s all part of the effort to make Orlando the most sustainable city in the southeast.
The City of Orlando will join A1 Assets and American Textile Recycling Services to host a free event at Orlando Festival Park for all residents and business owners to safely recycle electronics and household textiles, keeping them out of the landfill. A1 Assets removes any embedded data before recycling electronic devices and American Textile Recycling Services repurposes textiles.
Participants don’t even have to leave their vehicles as staff collects items and places them on the pallets.
