Transportation Projects & Initiatives

Downtown Loop

The Downtown Loop will provide residents with a car-free option to access shopping, dining, entertainment, parks, offices and services throughout the greater downtown Orlando area.

Vision Zero

Orlando’s Vision Zero mission is to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries on city streets by 2040.

Downtown Gap Trail

The Downtown Gap project will construct a sidewalk-level bicycle lane on the south side of Washington Street from Garland Avenue to Magnolia Avenue. It will also make at-grade railroad crossing improvements at the Sunrail crossing.

The Bike Plan is the city’s strategic guide for improving its bicycling environment.
