The Central Florida Expressway Authority provided the following update on the 408 Improvement Project:

A full road closure is scheduled for Carter Street from Tampa Avenue to US 441/Orange Blossom Trail, including the Rio Grande Avenue intersection between Long Street and Carter Street, beginning on Monday, June 8, at 7 a.m. and ending on Monday, July 27, at 7 a.m., for road work.

Access from the eastbound SR 408 off-ramp to US 441/Orange Blossom Trail will be maintained.

Allow extra travel time. Due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances work could be delayed. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.
