Construction Phase 2, from Orange Avenue to Magnolia Avenue along Washington Street, is expected to last approximately two and a half months and will include utility work, milling, and asphalt work. For most of this phase, the eastbound lane will be closed, while westbound traffic remains open. The southside sidewalk will also be closed between Court Avenue and Magnolia Avenue during this phase. The Court Avenue intersection will close for approximately one week for utility work and crosswalk replacement, then reopen for left turns only.
The construction manager and contractor will notify businesses in advance of the work.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Solid waste, recycling, mail, and other services will continue as scheduled. In the event of an emergency, first responders and emergency vehicles will have priority access.
Unforeseen conditions and adverse weather may cause delays, potentially extending the project schedule and requiring weekend or overnight work.
