Request Stop the Bleed Training

Do you want to learn how to save a life with Stop the Bleed training?

The Orlando Fire Department offers many lifesaving skills training for all residents, such as Stop the Bleed. In this training, bystanders will learn to recognize and treat trauma-related emergencies involving excessive bleeding, such as a major wound or lacerations. Participants get hands-on training to learn how to pack a wound and use a tourniquet to stop excessive bleeding.

  • Free
  • One hour in length
  • Suitable for teens and adults
  • The training will be coordinated at a location within city limits

Step 1.Verify your location

For Stop the Bleed, the course is hosted at a venue within the city. We will give you location details once you are confirmed to attend.

Step 2.Check your eligibility

  • Your request must be submitted at least four to six weeks in advance.

Please note:

  • All requests are first-come, first-serve and are based upon availability
  • Due to the high-volume of requests we receive, it may take up to two (2) weeks to respond to your request

Step 3.Gather your information

We will need to know the following:

  • Number of adults and children expected for training
  • Two dates and times for your training
  • Your home address/address of your organization
