Memorial Advisory Committee Seeks Community Input on Pulse Memorial Conceptual Design
Orlando, FL – December 17, 2024 – The Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee convened last week to review and refine a conceptual design for the future Pulse Memorial. As the committee looks to finalize a design concept, the community is encouraged to provide feedback. This is part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the Pulse memorial reflects the collective vision of the victims’ families, survivors and the broader Orlando community. The latest Pulse memorial design is available at engage.orlando.gov, and feedback is being solicited through January 22, 2025. Input from the committee at the December meeting, along with feedback from victims’ families, survivors and community responses, will be incorporated into an updated conceptual design. This revised design will be presented by Baker Barrios Architects and Catalyst Design Group to the committee on February 4, 2025, with the goal of finalizing a design concept. About the Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee: The Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee is composed of individuals representing victims’ families, survivors, and other key stakeholders. Its role is to guide the creation of a permanent memorial at the Pulse site and to foster opportunities for community input and engagement. The committee’s goal is to recommend a conceptual design that resonates with the diverse voices of those who were directly impacted by the tragedy.
