Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council in paying tribute to our nation's heroes and standing together as a community to honor their service and sacrifice.
On Friday, September 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the community is invited to attend the 2026 POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony to honor United States military prisoners of war and those still missing in action as part of national POW-MIA Day.
Emceed by Steve Montiero (Trooper Steve), this year’s event includes a panel discussion focused on the lived experiences of POW family members. Attendees will hear directly from children and family members of Prisoners of War whose experiences span conflict eras from World War II through the Vietnam and Afghanistan wars.
The ceremony is a tribute to the United States military prisoners of war and those still missing in action, reaffirming the city's commitment to bringing our heroes home and ensuring that they are never forgotten.
Doors open at 10 a.m. with coffee and refreshments available.
Registration coming soon.
