The Florida Department of Transportation provided the following update on the S.R. 408 eastbound to I-4 eastbound Loop Ramp.
Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of the eastbound State Road (S.R.) 408 off-ramp to eastbound Interstate 4 (I‑4) at Exit 10B on Monday night, February 16, and Tuesday night, February 17.
The ramp will close as early as 8 p.m. each night and reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Wednesday, February 18. These closures are necessary for road widening work and the construction of a permanent barrier wall.
See detour information below and the attached detour map.
Detour Information:
- Motorists traveling eastbound on S.R. 408 who wish to access eastbound I-4 will be directed to take Exit 10A onto westbound I-4, continuing west, and take Exit 81 to Michigan Street. Drivers will then turn left onto West Michigan Street and follow posted signage to access eastbound I-4.
This work is part of a larger safety improvement project on the loop ramp from eastbound S.R. 408 to eastbound I-4.
Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. FDOT advises motorists to reduce speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
