Allyson Williams - Olympia High School

Allyson Williams

Allyson Williams, an appointed representative on the Principal’s Student Advisory Committee, embodies Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through her unwavering commitment to equality, respect, and service. Driven by the quote, “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle,” Allyson dedicates herself to turning ideals into everyday action.

Her humanitarian efforts are diverse and deeply rooted in empathy, stemming from her desire to "pass it forward" after personally benefiting from community support. She has devoted time to supporting Florida's senior citizens, serving as a translator for medical sign-ups and hosting interactive educational events. Allyson also volunteered her time at Give Kids the World, providing joy to critically ill children and their families.

At Olympia High School, Allyson’s passion for justice shines through her leadership. She founded and serves as President of the school’s first UNICEF Club chapter, advocating for children’s rights globally. As a captain for the nationally qualified Speech and Debate Team at Olympia High School and an inductee into multiple honor societies, Allyson consistently uses her voice to promote awareness and fight for fairness. She has a goal in both her personal and academic life to create spaces where everyone feels valued and heard.

Allyson is a true peer role model dedicated to making equality a reality for all and will, no doubt, make headway and magnificent humanitarian gains as a future Senator or Immigration Lawyer. She truly honors and respects Dr. Kings’ work, and is constantly reminded that in this world today, she cannot just sit around and wait for things to get better,…change must be fought for through organizing, protest, and persistence.
