Kevin Ndayambaje - Oak Ridge High School
Kevin is an exceptional student and an honored participant in the school's 3DE magnet program which fosters work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills. During his junior year, he successfully competed in the 3DE market expo where students spend all year creating a business, and then compete against one another for the most successful business. His exceptional leadership skills led him to be selected into the role of Brand Representative with the L.I.F.E mentor program. Kevin helps build character and foster resilience by supporting scholars academically, socially, and emotionally.
He is a member of Elevate Orlando, which is a program designed to provide instruction and support to students in at-risk schools, the Black Student Union, Kappa League, and Rollins Upward Bound Program. In Elevate Orlando, Kevin was selected as a student ambassador and was, therefore able to present the program to their sponsors and share with them how the program experiences changed his life. He is a consistent honor roll scholar and has won numerous awards.
In spite of his many personal obligations, Kevin manages to work two jobs, assist elementary schools with their mentoring programs, cleans and monitors the school track field and still qualify for a college scholarship. Kevin is also a dedicated member of several clubs and organizations, but allows adequate time to take full advantage of all academic opportunities that come his way.
Kevin perfectly balances his academic responsibilities leaving plenty of time to volunteer and give back. His constant fervor and enthusiasm are clearly articulated in his humanitarian belief that: “serving others is the way to give back, and reciprocating that same energy encourages a cycle of blessings across a multitude of communities”.
