Justin Risbrook - Colonial High School

Justin Risbrook

Justin, not only has maintained a strong academic record since middle school, but also has a 1,000-watt smile that lights up every room he enters. Justin’s teachers agree that he is a very positive student and a joy to have in class. His leadership qualities are best demonstrated as Captain of the basketball team and strong participation in several other sports.

Justin’s career dream of becoming an Electrical Engineer will easily help him reach his life’s goal of helping struggling families to meet their needs, especially those involving food, clothing and shelter. Justin is a natural problem-solver and strongly believes that faith is what will help him bring equality and justice to all mankind in every way. Justin also volunteers at a local community center and does an excellent job teaching kids the basic athletic skills of youth sports, but also teaching them the significance of strong favorable team work. This attribute has been a major strength and encouragement for Justin, but has made an even bigger impact on his neighborhood.

He has earned over 300 hours of community service while volunteering at our nearby Engelwood Neighborhood Center, and by motivating other students to achieve their goals and get involved. Justin is viewed as an outstanding young man in so many ways, and is therefore, highly qualified and most deserving to represent Colonial High School as our 2026 MLK Youth Humanitarian.
