I have had the privilege of knowing Daniel Idowu for three years in my capacity as his College Career Specialists at Wekiva High School. During this time, Daniel has consistently proven himself to be an individual of exceptional intellect, leadership, and community focus.
Daniel possesses a rare combination of ambition and humility. While serving as the NHS President, he often took the initiative and extra time to mentor underclassmen which is the embodying servant leadership Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. strived for consistently. Daniel is an academically gifted student whose potential is virtually limitless. He has a clear and compelling vision for his future: to achieve a master’s degree in computer science and become a software developer. Daniel is deeply curious, and always seeking new knowledge.
What truly sets Daniel apart is his character. He is grounded, able to manage a busy life full of extracurriculars while maintaining a focus on his local community. His ability to make genuine connections with people is his greatest strength which prepares him to be a leader in the 21st century.
Because of Daniels’ exceptional talent to promote peace, love, kindness and unity for all, he towers over many outstanding individuals who aspire to strongly cultivate Dr. MLK’s life saving humanitarian qualities.
