Through the worst tragedies, our United Pulse is still beating
In unison, we are still breathing
A foundation, with no ceilings, no framing
A hot melting pot location, a little Español & Creole flavorin’
Home of pro-gaming, goal chasin’
Low-key, an Artist's soul oasis, a bold CEO's haven
So many hidden gems. She’s adorned with style & grace. She’s sexy.
Seductively poetic…with, of course, the occasional mood swings
But I love this woman! Her soft skin glows
Her breeze…her birds, bees,
Thousand-year-old, 40-feet-tall trees
Some of y’all just visit her on holidays or for the summer
I’ve lived with her my whole life!
She’s long walks on the beach & cuddling all night
Some of y’all only see her on TV with make-up on
I’ve seen her spazz out & cry all that mascara off
Any time she’s downtown, turn your cameras on
Fireworks lit every evening: she’s adventurous, provocative
Can’t be replicated; wildlife that’ll never be domesticated
Oh, and BTW, she’s always under investigation
She’s a dream, a vision; always somebody’s destination
Gorgeous, glorious mornings
Alluring, hypnotic sunsets
Ancient, mystic mid-summer nights
She’s house parties & restaurant to-go orders in your late 30s
Always feeding the imagination’s appetite
She is my spice of life
A perfectly arranged harmony; one body, many arteries
Honestly, if you ever sat back in a parking lot & had a real, deep conversation with her
You’d find out she’s not as shallow as people make her out to be
She is one of those “I like art” type girls, too…but with a scorching temper
She’s my favorite place to be; someone you’ll always remember
Because she feels like…home
