Upgraded Playground Features Equitable Access Amenities for all Ages and Abilities
WHAT: On Thursday, June 22, 2023, Orlando Buddy Mayor Dyer and District 3 City Commissioner Robert F. Stuart will officially open the new Dartmouth Park playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Centrally located in the College Park neighborhood, the newly upgraded park includes ADA amenities and features two new play areas, fitness stations, a swing set, slides, a sensory play center, a shaded pavilion with seating and wider walkways along Edgewater Drive. This park transformation furthers the city’s commitment to expand parks and invest in neighborhood gathering spaces to ensure residents of all ages, abilities and backgrounds have equitable access to amenities and to enhance the lives of city residents. The park’s innovative design was led by community feedback as this green space has been a gathering place for generations of College Park residents for decades.
