Join City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for the 25th annual Bike to Work Day! Pedal through downtown Orlando, learn about local bike projects, connect with fellow riders and advocates, and celebrate Florida Bike Month in March.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m., with Mayor Dyer kicking off the group ride at 8 a.m. A limited number of e-bikes will be available for participants who want to ride but don’t own a bike.

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or new to biking, this event is for YOU! Bring your helmet, your energy, and your coworkers as we highlight the progress Orlando has made in making cycling safer and easier for everyone.

Parking:  
  • Free parking is available in the designated grass area of Festival Park
  • Parking will be accessible through the Livingston Street entrance, not the Robinson Street entrance
  • There will be plenty of directional signage in and around the parking area
  • Vehicles may remain parked throughout the day

Skip traffic! Take LYNX or Sunrail to Bike to Work Day!

LYNX is bike-friendly, allowing you to secure your bicycle on the rack in front of the bus as you relax during your ride to your destination. Use LYNX bus links 6, 13, 51, and 104. These routes will take you to the Colonial Plaza SuperStop near Festival Park.

Making your way to Bike to Work Day is seamless from any SunRail station, with bicycles welcomed aboard all trains. Disembark at the LYNX Central Station and from there it's a 2.4-mile cycle to Festival Park. To sync perfectly with the event's 8 a.m. start, catch the northbound train stopping at the Lynx Central Station at 6:56 a.m. or 7:26 a.m., or the southbound train at 6:48 a.m. or 7:18 a.m.

Bike to Work Day Team Competition

Participants can register as an individual in the group bike ride or as a team with their organization. The team competition is a favorite longstanding tradition for Bike to Work Day, and will be composed of two parts:

  1. Florida Bicycle Month activities – Outlined in the Team Competition Scorecard (60 points)
  2. Bike to Work Day Group Ride with Mayor Buddy Dyer – Thursday, March 5 (40 points)

The team competition scorecard is due Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at noon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to register for the event?
No, this event is free and open to the public with no registration fee.

Is there a fee for using an e-bike provided by the city's bike share program for the group ride?
At the event, Bird and Lime bicycles, as well as Veo seated scooters, will be provided at no charge for attendees when they register online for the event.

When is the deadline to request an e-bike? How can I request to use one?
Registration for the event will end on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. At the event, bicycles and seated scooters will be set up at the southern end of the parking lot, just across from the registration table. Please make sure to download the Bird, Lime, and Veo app and complete the waiver ahead of the event!

Is there a way I can borrow a helmet?
We will be providing helmet fittings and free helmets at the event on a first come, first served basis. Lime, Bird, and Veo will also provide helmets as giveaways on a first come, first served basis.

Is there a bike leader who will lead participants to Festival Park before the event?
Pre-Event Ride to Festival Park: We will have one guided group bike ride from City Hall to Festival Park. The meeting time for the ride is 7:15 a.m. and the meeting location will be at the Northbound Church Street SunRail Station.

How about after the event?
Post-Event Ride to Festival Park: We will have one guided group bike ride from City Hall to Festival Park. The meeting time for the ride is 9:15 a.m. and the meeting location will be at the Tower of Light in front of City Hall Plaza.

How long can I use my reserved e-bike/scooter for free?
Riders who used a rented e-bike/e-scooter my use the same device used during the ride to return to Festival Park at 9:15 a.m. After 9:15 a.m., rented items will require a fee to use in order to return to the start location.

What other ways can I return to my car at Festival Park after the event?
If you have your own bike, participants may leave their car parked at Festival Park during the day at no charge and return to it when work hours have ended. The city will provide a ride leader to lead participants back to Festival Park at the end of the way day at 5:15 p.m.

How do I get back if I don't have a bike?
Participants may rent an e-bike or e-scooter from Lime, Bird, or Veo to return to Festival Park. Participants may also use LYNX bus link 13 at the Anderson Street and Orange Avenue bus stop, or use rideshare services provided in the area.
