Portuguese Speaking Citizen Police Academy

The Portuguese Speaking Citizen Police Academy aims to foster relationships between the police department and the community. All courses are taught in Portuguese. 

The academy will cover:

  • Behind the Badge: Get to know your Brazilian Police officers
  • International Drive Unit
  • Crime Scene Unit
  • And more

Classes begin on Thursday, March 12, 2026 and will be held weekly every Thursday evening from 6 - 9 p.m. until April 2, 2026 at the Orlando Police Department Gun Range on 110 George Desalvia Way.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old to participate. Please be advised this is a free course, so seating is limited and will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.
