Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz invite residents to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, 2026.
The 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month national theme, “Unidos, Somos Más” (“Together, We Are More”), highlights unity, resilience, and the collective impact of Hispanic and Latino communities. This year’s theme underscores that while our stories span many countries and cultures, shared values such as perseverance, family, service, and creativity continue to unite us. It also honors the collective richness of our histories, from Indigenous and African roots to present-day trailblazers, while inspiring a stronger, more connected future.
Each year, our nation and city observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 to recognize and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of residents whose heritage and roots traces to Spain and 19 Spanish-speaking countries and territories: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
