Are you interested in saving money on your monthly energy bill?
City of Orlando residents looking to lower their energy bill can apply to the energy savings program and receive one of these plug in technologies.
You must be one of the following:
Verify if you live in city limits using our map. Although your address may say Orlando, you might be in unincorporated Orange County or another nearby city.
If you rent, you must get written permission from your landlord or property manager.
You can apply for:
Landlords are limited to 5 devices. The five devices can be all of the same type or a mix of different types.
There are different eligibility requirements for each device type.
We accept applications in batches of twenty. Once we reach 20 submissions, we will pause applications while we review them.
Apply to the Energy Savings Program
We may reopen submissions based on funding and team capacity. Check back if you're still interested in a device.
We will contact you to schedule an inspection. At this inspection, we will verify your eligibility. Depending on the devices you requested, we will have some or all the devices installed.
If you are a renter, you must show us your landlord's written permission for the installation.

No, we partnered with 15 Lightyears, Desanto Plumbing and community organizations to create the Energy Savings Program.
The AC units for this program use heat pump technology. It pulls heat from the room to help cool it.
If you have an old window unit, switching to a new one may be more efficient. Or, adding a second one can reduce the load on your current unit.
