Black History Month Art Exhibition Opening Reception 2026

Next date: Tuesday, February 03, 2026 | 05:00 PM to 08:00 PM

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose, District 6 City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns, and the Orlando City Council invite the community to attend the Opening Reception of the City of Orlando’s Black History Month Art Exhibition on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Terrace Gallery in Orlando City Hall.

This year’s exhibition features 48 works by 28 local visual artists, inspired by the 2026 national Black History Month theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations.” The selected works explore the many ways labor free and unfree, skilled and unskilled, professional, vocational, and voluntary has shaped and intersected with the collective experiences of Black culture.

The exhibition highlights and honors the transformative impact of labor on Black experiences while furthering Orlando’s ongoing commitment to fairness, belonging, and cultural representation.

The art exhibition will be on display from February 3 through March 31, 2026.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available at the City Commons Parking Garage, located at 460 Boone Avenue, Orlando, behind Orlando City Hall.
