Do you want to remove a tree from your property?
The city issues tree removal permits to protect the environment and make sure that only unhealthy, dead, hazardous or problematic trees are cut down.
A tree removal permit is NOT required if:

Your property must be located within the City of Orlando limits.

If you need a permit, you will need to pay a permit application fee of $25 for residential or $50 per commercial acreage.
Complete the Application
After submitting your request, mark the tree to help our staff identify which one you want removed.
An arborist will inspect the tree in about three business days. After the inspection, they will contact you to discuss the results.
If you are approved, a copy of the permit will be provided to you.
You are responsible for removing your tree safely.
If your permit requires replanting, you will need to plant the specified replacement tree(s) within 60 days.
Within 60 days, let the city know you have planted a replacement tree. If you don't verify, you will be added to a non-compliance list.
