Lucas Fernandez - William R. Boone High School

Lucas Fernandez really has a special vibe that he carries. When he enters a room, people take notice and they want to hear what he has to say. The staff and students here at Boone respect his opinion and value his dedication to the school and community. 

Ever since Lucas came to Boone, he has been a part of our school and been helping whoever he can. Student laptop checkouts, new student orientations, canned food drives, special events to unite the campus, etc., all or any can be found on Lucas’s schedule. Wherever he has felt needed he has shown up. 

Lucas is an honor student, in several prominent organizations, holds several leadership positions, and has received numerous awards validating his profound talents and abilities. Lucas has aspirations of becoming a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon and, for sure, will break barriers and make inordinate history all along the way.

With all of Lucas' extracurriculars and amazing personality, he has been able to unite students of different backgrounds, cultures, and popularity levels. When he is in my office, there are always an array of students and staff that stop by to say hello to him, and if he doesn't know someone, he makes a point to initiate a welcoming conversation. 

His infectious vibrant personality is actually authentic and appreciated by peers and staff. His ability to help others and make a difference is truly remarkable and I know that he will continue to change the world.  Lucas is a super star!
