Kayden Ydener Pierre - Cypress Creek High School

Kayden is an IB Diploma candidate and twice-awarded AP Scholar. This brave and brilliant young man exemplifies the spirit of Dr. King through resilience, courage, intellect, and compassion while volunteering in many capacities.

As a first-generation college applicant, he channels his ambition of graduating from Princeton University and becoming a Neuroscientist. Kayden has already learned and recognizes that his calm, focused, and solution-oriented demeanor, will lead and direct him with quiet strength and unwavering purpose. Others often admire Kayden and see him as a role model mainly because of his disciplined and talented writing skills. He can successfully turn pain into comfort by crafting narratives that invite you to embrace vulnerability rather than fear it.

Kayden is equally dedicated to physical fitness and he proves it through his strong aspiration to help all people protect their health. His work and desired outcomes embody discipline and balance, which encourages and inspires his peers to pursue holistic well-being.

Kayden’s strong passion to help others is a journey and a testament of his perseverance with a power of self-expression like no other. Indubitably, Kayden does not seek recognition, but rather impact—making him a beacon of hope and a deserving nominee for the MLK Youth Humanitarian Award.
