Asmaa Alboulad - Windermere High School
Asmaa Alboulad, a Senior at Windermere High School, embodies the spirit of humanitarian service, driven by the deep-seated belief that she has a purpose to uplift her community. A dedicated volunteer with 200+ hours of commitment to two Orlando Health hospitals and the Red Cross, she provides essential non-clinical support, assists staff, and, most importantly, offers companionship to patients who feel lonely.
Her service extends to the local community by providing free babysitting for families in need and generously contributing to holiday donation programs. Asmaa demonstrates leadership as an elected officer in four school clubs: Robotics, Chess, Muslim Student Association, and Middle Eastern North African Student Association. Through these roles, she focuses on community outreach, organizing initiatives like a charity gala to successfully raise funds for families in need.
Asmaa is ranked in the top 15% of her graduating class and has been recognized for exceptional academic achievements, including AP Scholar With Distinction and designation as an AP Capstone Diploma Candidate.
Asmaa's humanitarian vision goes beyond structured hours, emphasizing the power of simple human connection, waving, smiling, and striking up joyful conversations to affirm the visibility and dignity of others. This profound commitment aligns perfectly with her future aspiration to enter medicine and passionately work to eliminate bias in healthcare.
Asmaa embodies the main goals of Dr. King in her every day life and fulfills the dream each time she creates a smile on someone’s face, or gets a hug from a grateful human being in need. She enjoys bringing joy to everyone.
