Jose Pino - Horizon High School

Jose is a charismatic and determined student who is well known for his positive attitude. Jose is trilingual; he speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He worked tirelessly to learn English when he moved from Venezuela to be able to effectively communicate in school and express himself. Jose is part of the “Hawk Squad,” a collective of select student leaders who help introduce new students to Horizon by providing tours and accompanying them to classes on their first day. Jose is the embodiment of a student leader. Jose has a wide range of interests, from academics to sports, to singing to cars.  He is also very involved in his church’s youth group and sings for his church every Sunday.

Future Goals: Jose hopes to attend the University of Florida to become a sound engineer.
