The City of Orlando is proud to join the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund. This program helps young people lead projects that help our community and the environment. By joining, Orlando becomes part of a group of 300 global cities working to support youth leaders and fight climate change.
Pursuant to section 166.04971, Florida Statutes, Grantee / Contractor shall not use any funds received from the City of Orlando to establish, sustain, support or staff a diversity, equity or inclusion office or to employ, contract, or otherwise engage a person to serve as a diversity, equity and inclusion officer as defined in sections 166.04971(1)(c)-(d), Florida Statutes, nor shall any funds received from the City of Orlando be used to fund or promote any program or initiative of diversity, equity or inclusion, as defined in section 166.04971(1), Florida Statutes.
Pursuant to section 287.139, Florida Statutes, Grantee / Contractor certifies to the City that it does not and will not use City funds in requiring its employees, contractors, volunteers, vendors, or agents to ascribe to, study, or be instructed using material relating to diversity, equity and inclusion, as defined in section 166.04971(1), Florida Statutes.
Pursuant to section 377.816, Florida Statutes, as a recipient of public funds, Agency certifies and affirms that it has not and will not adopt a net zero policy, use City funds to advocate for a net zero policy, or require adoption of—or any commitment to support—a net zero policy as a condition of membership or of receiving any benefit of membership.
