Get a Certificate of Use

Are you operating a business in the City of Orlando?

The city requires a Certificate of Use in conjunction with a Business Tax Receipt to ensure that a business is allowed to operate in the zoning district where it is located.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

All businesses will be required to obtain a Certificate of Use in conjunction with a Business Tax Receipt. Certificates of Use will not be required for:

  • Individual professionals within a professional office
  • Residential uses / Home occupations
  • Government uses
  • Temporary uses
  • Mobile businesses
  • Congregate living facilities such as group homes and residential care facilities

Use our zoning check to ensure that you are within city limits and that your business can operate at your location.
