Although your address may say Orlando, you might be in unincorporated Orange County where waste services are handled by Orange County Utilities. Make sure you're in Orlando city limits before you continue.

Step 2.Prepare your storm debris for pickup

Bundle yard waste and building materials separately and place them at the curb for pickup. Keep debris away from mailboxes, fire hydrants, storm drains, and utility poles, and do not block sidewalks or streets.

Separate your debris into the following piles:

• Bagged or bundled yard waste: Small vegetation like leaves and twigs.
• Large vegetation: Tree stumps, large branches, etc. that cannot be bagged or bundled.
• Construction debris: Building materials like fencing, roofing, lumber, drywall, carpet, and furniture.
• Appliances: Refrigerators (remove all food and secure or remove the doors), washers, dryers, water heaters, etc.

Helpful Tip: Any debris placed in areas like backyards, driveways, or behind fences will not be collected. Debris mixed with household garbage will not be collected. Contractors hired for yard work or repairs must haul away debris they generate.
