Nevaeh Bannis - Maynard Evans High School

Nevaeh Bannis is a truly exceptional student and leader at Evans High School. She can also be more colorfully described as a powerful, brilliant, driven, and a deeply committed individual to excellence in all that she does. She continues to stand out, not just for her academic ability, but for her maturity, poise, and intellectual curiosity. She consistently outperforms students older than she is, demonstrating a level of insight and discipline well beyond her years.

Recognizing her potential, Nevaeh joined the Student Government Association, was treasurer of SGA Executive Board, earned Superior in band solo and ensemble, and was a participant in the Achievers Program. In this role, she has proven to be a thoughtful leader and a reliable team player, always ready to serve and uplift others. Nevaeh's leadership extends far beyond the classroom. She is a dedicated member of the Evans High School Band, an active participant in NJROTC, and a captain of our Girls' Flag Football Team. Her ability to balance rigorous academics with extracurricular commitments is a testament to her time management skills and unwavering determination. 

Nevaeh embodies the values of our three core pillars of Pride, Determination, and Perseverance. She approaches every challenge with grace and grit, and she inspires those around her to do the same. Nevaeh values the opportunity to serve, lead and learn along side others because it strengthens her personal growth and connections in her community. Nevaeh has all the right ideas about being a humanitarian and respected human being in that she feels that serving her community builds character and makes her want to be a better human every single day.
