City Hall and non-essential city services are closed Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Residential trash pick up on Monday will occur as usual.
Aarish Reddy is a dual enrolled honor student who will graduate from high school and earn an AA degree at the same time! His continuous 5.254 weighted GPA, enrollment in AP, and taking college level classes will also earn him a special Honors Recognition.
Aarish has been a straight A student since 7th grade and is currently enrolled in his 13th AP course and 14th college course. In addition to devoting his time and energy to his coursework, Aarish has completed over 275 community hours and truly sees the benefits of volunteering. Aarish proudly affiliates with the Lake Nona Indians, a nonprofit organization that focuses on unity and he serves as their Youth Chairman. The goal of the organization is to engage collectively and collaboratively with individuals of all backgrounds. To improve medical procedures and achieve the gold standard, Aarish demonstrated his strong dedication to service when he volunteered with a local fire rescue and assisted in a collaboration between the American Heart Association and Polk County Fire Rescue, offered service at the Second Harvest Food Bank, and worked almost 300 hours with the Department of Assisted Veterans.
He also presented an abstract of his published paper at the Society of Academic Emergency Medicines (SAEM) Orlando Conference in 2024. Aarish has a real passion for science, enjoys Binge Reading Webnovels, and plans to strategically utilize all his knowledge and skills as a future Interventional Cardiologist. Aarish ideally and impressively represents the ideals of Dr. M.L. King, Jr. both in the world of academia, and with forceful regard to human compassion, altruism, and kindness.
