Submit Your Art for the Hispanic Heritage Month Display at City Hall

Do you want to participate in the 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Display? 
 

The City of Orlando is seeking local visual artists to display their artwork during Hispanic Heritage Month in the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall from September 16 to November 13, 2022.  The arts are an intrinsic part of the Hispanic heritage and culture, for this reason, the city is offering an opportunity for artists to showcase the richness of Latin American history and heritage through visual arts.

Step 1.Submit your art by August 29, 2022 by 11:59 p.m.

Interested artists can submit the following to the City of Orlando Public Art Coordinator Keith Beasley at charles.beasley@orlando.gov
  • Artist biography or resume. 
  • Photos of a minimum of five pieces of artwork in JPG format. Artworks related to the Hispanic culture are recommended. 
  • Descriptions about each artwork. 
  • Each submission must be labeled with: 
    • Name of artist 
    • Art Title  
    • Year created 
    • Measurements 
    • Medium 

Step 2.We will review submissions

Artists will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Appropriateness: Artists are selected based on the appropriateness of their proposal to the project. 
  • Communication: The artist must have the ability to clearly communicate concepts both visually and through clearly written materials. 
  • All 2-D art submitted for selection must be ‘Wall Ready’, with D rings or wire. 
  • Performance: The artist must have a professional history of being able to work cooperatively and finish projects on time. 

Step 3.We will be in touch

The selected artists will be notified by email with the date and time to deliver their pieces to City Hall.
