Gleaning Program

Launched in 2020, the Office of Sustainability partners with the Society of St. Andrew, a national gleaning organization, to harvest uncollected produce locally grown at Central Florida farms and transport back to Orlando. This program helps increase locally fresh produce to Orlando residents, focusing efforts on communities that may otherwise go without. In 2025, over 100,000 pounds of produce has been collected and distributed to City of Orlando residents, community organizations and Neighborhood Centers.
