Tree Preservation

The proposed ordinance seeks to allow new development that consists of 10 acres or more and has not completed mitigation plantings prior to the issuance of a tree removal permit, a demolition permit or a mass grading permit, to provide a performance guarantee for the installation of those mitigation plantings that are required.

Expected to be reviewed by the Municipal Planning Board on October 20, 2026. Ordinance anticipated to be adopted by City Council in January 2027.
