Optimization and Systems Division

The Optimization and Systems Division plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Public Work operations. This division focuses on optimizing business processes, integrating technology, and streamlining workflows across the department's major enterprise funds: Capital Improvement, Engineering, Facilities, Fleet, Solid Waste, Streets and Stormwater, and Water Reclamation.

Key Functions and Responsibilities 

Process Optimization 
Enhancing operational workflow to improve service delivery and maximize efficiency. 

Technology Integration 
Implementing and maintaining digital tools including Trimble, GIS systems, and data analytics, to support decision-making and resource management. 

Financial and Resource Management 
Supporting budgeting, financial tracking, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations. 

Performance Monitoring and Reporting 
Utilizing data-driven insights to track performance, measure efficiency, and align operations with the city's strategic objectives. 

Interdepartmental Coordination 
Collaborating with division to standardize processes, improve communication, and align goals for enhanced public service.
