Lauryn Lafayette - Lake Nona High School
Small things matter to Lauryn. She makes it a practice to provide support for those who have no voice of their own and strives to finds solutions overlooked by others. She is a cheerleader for anyone in need and lets everyone know someone is rooting for them. Lauryn believes service is its own reward by helping make someone’s day better. Her volunteerism includes Student Government service projects to support mental health facilities, tutoring middle school students in distance learning and helping fifth grade math students bridge the learning gap. She has accumulated 175 hours in community service. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and at a Soccer Academy. She has received the bronze and silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award and been tapped by the National Honor Society.

Future Plans: Lauryn would like to study to become a biomedical engineer at UM.
