Jamya Davis - Apopka High School
Jamya is a very caring, dedicated and intelligent student, who continually impresses those around her with her leadership skills, social conscience and work ethic. Jamya stands out as one of the most involved and well-rounded students at Apopka High School. She is Parliamentarian of the Student Government, Historian of the National Honor Society and President of her church’s teen program.
Jamya is very involved in social justice and is a part of the Minority Leaders Scholars organization. She also was instrumental in a recent campaign to encourage students to vote. She is an entrepreneur at heart and enjoys spearheading initiatives to improve other people’s lives. During the COVID-19 quarantine period, she has started her own resin keychain business and donates a portion of her profits to those in need. She is also a musician (trumpet) and athlete (weightlifting, swimming and tennis).
Future Plans: Jamya plans on majoring in Political Science at The Howard University. Her ultimate career goal is to work in government and legislative law.
