City Hall and non-essential city services are closed Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Residential trash pick up on Monday will occur as usual.
Do you want to be recognized for preserving a historic property or adding to the integrity of a historic district in the city?
The Historic Preservation Board gives the following awards to historic property renovation projects and compatible new construction in historic districts:
Each application must be for a project that has been completed within two years of the submission date. Applications may be submitted by any resident, organization, business or agency. The criteria for each category are:
Centennial Award: Nominated buildings must be 100 years or older in the year the award is given, display historic and architectural integrity and be well-maintained. The building must be listed as a contributing structure in a local historic district or is a designated local landmark.

Applications for this year must be submitted by March 27, 2020.
Nominate a Project for a Historic Preservation Award
Nominations will be reviewed by the Historic Preservation Board.
We will recognize the winners at a City Council meeting in May during Historic Preservation Month.
