Art Pollination: Coffee with the Artists
Last updated on January 13, 2026
WHAT:
Sip, savor and connect with the artists behind Art Pollination: Building Food Justice through Creativity, a City of Orlando public art initiative that uses creativity to address food insecurity and hunger.
The City of Orlando was awarded a $1 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Public Art Challenge to create innovative, temporary public art projects addressing urgent civic issues. Orlando’s project, Art Pollination: Building Food Justice through Creativity, brings together artists, residents, nonprofits, and city leaders to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and inspire solutions around food insecurity.
Over the past 18 months, participating artists have worked in neighborhoods across Orlando in partnership with local nonprofit organizations focused on food justice. Their work amplifies the reality that in Central Florida, 1 in 7 people—more than 500,000 residents—experience food insecurity.
Coffee with the Artists offers the public an opportunity to meet the artists, hear about their creative process, and learn how art can help imagine and build a more nourished, connected Orlando.
