WHAT: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites the community to ring in the holiday season at the City of Orlando’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 5, 2025. Festivities begin at 5 p.m., leading up to the highlight of the event at 8 p.m. for the official tree lighting of the Lake Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree. The 64-foot tree is adorned with 2,000 ornaments and more than 88,000 animated lights that are musically sync with the Lake Eola fountain for a one-of-a-kind, illuminated show. The celebration event will also feature a holiday market, food trucks, a vendor village, visits with Santa and a Florida snowfall experience. Attendees unable to make it to the tree lighting event can catch the synchronized light and music Christmas Tree Show every evening through January 6. The show will run each hour from 5:45 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. For more information visit: orlando.gov/treelighting. Attendees are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation to travel to the event including SunRail, ride share, bike share, carpooling and the free downtown LYMMO circulator.
