City of Orlando Invites Community to Oath of Office Ceremony

WHAT: 
Orlando residents are invited to attend the Oath of Office ceremony for City Commission Districts 1, 3 and 5. The ceremony celebrates the swearing-in of District 1 City Commissioner Tom Keen, District 3 City Commissioner Roger Chapin, and District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose for four-year terms on the Orlando City Council. 

The Oath of Office reaffirms each elected official’s commitment to faithfully perform the outlined duties according to the District City Commissioner roles within the City of Orlando. The City of Orlando’s Charter requires City Commissioners to recite the Oath before they enter into the duties of office.

Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. 

***Media Set-Up: Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for media to begin set-up.***  

**Media Interviews will be held immediately following the ceremony.

Media parking will be available along Orange Avenue in the designated media parking spots and in the City Commons Parking Garage in the loading dock. Click here for more information. 

Attendee parking for the Oath of Office Ceremony will be available at the City Commons Parking Garage at 460 Boone Avenue.
