Saturday, April 25, 2026 9 a.m. - Harbor House Paws for Peace Walk Glenda Hood Park, 4990 New Broad Street Mayor Dyer will join City Commissioners and Harbor House of Central Florida for the 15th Annual Paws for Peace Walk. The Paws for Peace Walk raises funds to help maintain the Harbor House of Central Florida Paws for Peace Kennel pet shelter, which is the only on-site kennel in Central Florida for the pets of domestic violence survivors. Friday, May 1, 2026 10:30 a.m. – Framing the Future: Legacy Place Construction Celebration 3123 Piedmont Street Mayor Dyer will join District 6 City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns, Wendover Housing Partners and The Hope Church, to celebrate the construction in progress for Legacy Place, a 100-unit affordable senior housing community for residents 55+ earning up to 80% of AMI, with deeper affordability set aside for lower-income households. The project is backed by $610,000 in City funding, along with incentives through the Orlando Unlocked initiative to accelerate housing development. As part of the event, community leaders will participate in signing the framing structure, followed by a guided site tour.
